In order to provide the highest
level of service, Kanatra operates under the following principles. |
1. Employ only the best translators
available. Kanatra works with more than 1,500
freelance translators and interpreters in all areas of specialty.
We select all freelancers by through rigorous testing. This means
that we do not employ inexperienced translators. |
2. Our translating procedures.
Kanatra handles translation inquiries in the following manner.
Translation inquiry ¢¡ Formation of translation team ¢¡ Arrange
terminology ¢¡ Begin translation ¢¡ Intermediate examination ¢¡
Complete first stage of translation ¢¡ First stage of checking (by
Korean employee: grammar, spelling mistakes, missing words) ¢¡
Second stage of checking (native-speaker) ¢¡ Send completed translation
to client ¢¡ Feedback |
3. For translations into a
foreign language, a native-speaker of that language must inspect
all materials. First, a Korean employee will translate
the materials, and then a native-speaker of that language will check
the work. Even if a Korean translator can speak a foreign language
well, it is very difficult to properly represent the cultural and
linguistic nuances of that language. Therefore Kanatra avoids the
use of "Konglish" by insisting that a native-speaker thoroughly
review all translations into that language. |
4. Treat the client's information
with total secrecy. Kanatra protects all information
received from clients in the course of translation with utmost confidentiality.
After completing a translation project, Kanatra keeps a copy of
materials for two months if the client agrees, after which the materials
are destroyed. However, if the client agrees, we input and save
glossaries (a compilation of useful terminology used in a translation)
in our database in order to improve the quality of future translations.
