Q: I need a translator. How can I get one?

A: Send us your file or a sample via e-mail. A sample should be about a page, and represent the level of difficulty and content of the whole document. If you have printed matter, send about three or four pages to us.

Q: How are quotes calculated?

A: Kanatra determines prices on the basis of your document's level of difficulty, volume, and the deadline. We need to see the sample first before we can give you any quote. Please either fax the sample page to us.

Q: I have a large project and I need it finished soon. Can you handle it?

A: It is usually impossible to handle urgent requests for large-scale projects but we try to fulfill the needs of our customers. If you send us your file or files and tell us when it should be finished by, we will respond as soon as possible.

Q: I only want a few lines translated...

A: Kanatra can handle all projects, even one-word translations. But we charge a minimum price of $35 for translations of less than one page.

Q: Do you use CAT Tool?

A: Yes, we do. In order to maintain the quality of translation, we use various CAT Tools for consistency in translation and vocabulary database that we developed on our own. For details on the tools we use, please refer to the Localization section.

Q: Is it possible to translate InDesign or FrameMaker files?

A: Yes, we not only translate those files but also provide desktop publishing services.
